DON"T LIVE HERE
I have never had so many issues at/with an apartment complex before. From the start, it was bad. My roommate and I toured the apartment, there were lightbulbs out, broken drawers and fixtures, sticky stuff all over the floors, and many other things that they promised they would fix before move in. Well, we moved in, nothing was fixed. That was fine, I can handle a few mishaps. Two weeks after being in the apartment (in July) the A/C unit was broken, leaving our apartment at 86 degrees in the heat of the summer. It took them over a month for them to fix it. Our water pressure was off, barely trickling cold out of the shower. We submitted a request to get it fixed, never heard back. We submitted another, finally got someone out, and they left without resolving anything. My roommates bathroom mirror was poorly installed and fell off the wall, it took over 2 months for them to follow up on our multiple requests to replace it, and we moved out before it was ever fully fixed. Our sink broke, it wouldn't stop running. We submitted a request, followed up with a call, got no response. We kept calling, eventually, a WEEK later, we got a response and they told us it wasn't an emergency so they were waiting until after the weekend to send someone out. We wasted and were charged for 100+ gallons of water, which I asked to be reimbursed, was told by the office that it would be, but never was.
Reaching the front office and communicating with the staff was always a problem. It would take multiple calls with multiple people for any issue I faced, and was always told I'd get a call from the manager, I never did. We had multiple issues with our rent getting charged, no one was ever able to help us, despite it being a recurring problem every month. Everyone I talked to either had no idea what they were talking about, and all gave me a different answer that was never a solution.
If you're willing to put up with this unprofessionalism, go for it! But my roommate and I were very much ready to stop dealing with the Avenues months before our move out date. Every interaction was difficult, confusing, and left us extremely unsatisfied and frustrated.
